I live with my manfriend (I am too old for a boyfriend), Chris. This is him:

Just look at that tall drink-a-water! Chris has since given up being a carny (carnivore) and is now a vegetarian. I think it is easier when your ladyfriend only makes vegan food. We also have three dogs. Pogo, Tia and Potato.

In 2010 I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease that effects my circulatory system. It inhibited my ability to enjoy many of the things that I love, specifically being outdoors. Just this past year I was also diagnosed with Hashimotos. Winner! Winner!
Shortly after being diagnosed in 2010, I became extremely allergic to EVERYTHING that grows in Utah. My doctor suggested that I begin immunotherapy, but being the hippie that I am I decided to research further into nutrition and found some pretty reliable sources that indicated that going vegan may cure me of my allergies. In April of 2011 I gave up all meat, dairy and anything that comes from something with a beating heart. I have since been off of all of my medications except one that I only take seasonally and my thyroid medication.
I love to run, climb, snowboard, camp, hike and lift weights. I competed in a fitness competition the following fall with the help of this guy ( Shane ). It was an amazing experience and perhaps one that I will do again....AND he helped me do it as a vegan.

Being vegan does not mean giving up protein, nor does it mean giving up all things tasty! If you are interested or curious about veganism feel free to ask me anything. I don't know it all, but I am happy to research and help you find answers and provide any information that I can!
HEALTHY EATS!
